CEMULA (“CEMULA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates cemula.org. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you browse our website, submit a customized order, complete a payment, or otherwise interact with CEMULA.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you submit a customized order or contact us. This may include your name and contact information; recipient and shipping information; product selections, size, color, quantity, engraving or other customization details; order notes and customer service communications; and order and payment-status information associated with your purchase.
We may also collect basic technical information when you use the website, such as the requested page, date and time of access, browser or device type, referring page, IP address in server and security logs, and information used to detect errors, abuse, or security threats.
How We Use Information
- create, validate, produce, fulfill, and support customized orders;
- process and confirm payments;
- communicate about orders and customer service requests;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- measure website and advertising performance when you have allowed the relevant cookies; and
- comply with legal, security, tax, recordkeeping, and platform requirements.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by PayPal. CEMULA does not directly collect or store your full debit-card or credit-card number, card security code, or other complete card credentials. PayPal processes payment information under its own privacy practices and provides CEMULA with transaction details needed to confirm and support the order, such as payment status, amount, currency, and transaction identifiers.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
CEMULA uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate security controls, remember your cookie choices, support order submission, and enable checkout. These technologies are necessary for the website to function.
With your choice, CEMULA may also use optional marketing cookies and the Meta Pixel to understand website activity and measure the effectiveness of Meta advertising. Depending on the page and action, Meta events may include PageView, ViewContent, InitiateCheckout, and Purchase, together with product identifiers, quantity, value, and currency. CEMULA does not include customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, engraving text, order notes, or payment credentials as Meta Pixel event parameters.
You can choose Necessary Only to decline optional marketing cookies. You can also reopen Cookie Settings from the website footer to review or change your choice. Declining marketing cookies does not prevent you from browsing the website, submitting an order, or paying through PayPal.
Meta Advertising
When optional marketing cookies are enabled, Meta may receive website activity information through the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and optimization. Meta processes that information under its own terms and privacy practices. CEMULA uses this information to understand the performance of its own advertising and does not use the Pixel to transmit the customized personal information printed on products.
Amazon Ads API and Amazon Advertising Data
CEMULA may use the Amazon Ads API to access advertising data for CEMULA’s own authorized Amazon advertising account. This data may include campaign and ad-group configuration, keywords or targeting, budgets, spend, impressions, clicks, attributed performance, and related advertising-account information.
CEMULA uses Amazon Ads API data only for internal management, reporting, analysis, and optimization of CEMULA’s own Amazon advertising. CEMULA does not sell Amazon Ads API data and does not provide Amazon Ads API data to third parties for their own purposes. Access is limited to authorized use for CEMULA’s advertising operations and is subject to applicable Amazon policies and platform requirements.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the website, process payments, fulfill orders, measure advertising when permitted, maintain security, comply with law, or protect our rights. Relevant recipients may include PayPal for payment processing, Meta when optional marketing technologies are enabled, Amazon in connection with CEMULA’s authorized Amazon advertising operations, and service providers that host or support the website and its communications.
We do not sell personal information or Amazon Ads API data. We do not provide Amazon Ads API data to another party for that party’s independent use.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the business purpose for which it was collected, order production and support, legal and tax obligations, security and fraud prevention, dispute handling, and applicable platform-compliance requirements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is kept. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to technical and legal limitations.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Privacy Requests
You may contact us to ask about personal information associated with you or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required for completed transactions, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or platform compliance.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date above shows when this policy was most recently revised.
